Thanks Anthony.
Can I connect to sql 2008 enterprise\standard editions using this express client?
I want to check backups on all servers by connecting from this client. As I know, i cant create a job within client. I will have to run the script manually from management studio, right?
Other than management studio, what else could be usefull in client?

If you have Enterprise/Standard already why not just install SSMS from the installation media and get the full functionality?
The functionality of express management studio is limited, you cant connect to SSIS/SSAS/SSRS instances and a few other bits and bobs.
But you will be able to query msdb and execute scripts, you can create jobs in the client if you have access to SQL Agent (now as express doesnt have SQL Agent, unsure if you can with the express SSMS)
