Hi I want to learn more about DMO and generating packages in SQL SERVER 2000
Where is the best place to start?

BOL and read various different books that have been cited here in the past. Visit your local bookstore and look at the SQL books have a seat start reading and when you found a book that A) did not put you to sleep B) you found enjoyable buy it and there you go....

Go googling for DMO info. Ask specific questions.

I found the best way of learning was to create packages in EM and save them as vb script files. I dont think any books will go beyond what is on the books online. The most complex parts of dmo are probably scheduling, dts & restoring backups, I havent found much on the net or in books to help me with these.
There are a few applications written to replace enterprise manager around that have the code.
