It emails me like it should, but when I went in to edit the maintenance plan the notification isn't on it. I used the wizard. What if I wanted to add more than one operator to be notified? Where can I get back to it incase I wanted to change the operator?
2nd question...
On the backup task part in the wizard, there is a "backup set will expire" with date settings. Can someone explain that a little for me? Does it only have to do with backing up to the same file? I backup to a new file and clean up the old ones. I apparently just need someone to rephrase it for me so I can wrap my lil' brain around it.
Thanks

You're talking about the email report, right? There is a button with a little report icon near the top (to the right of Manage Connections). Click that.
I haven't used the "expire" option, but did find this comment: http://www.mydatabasesupport.com/forums/sqlserver-server/200287-backup-expiredate-retaindays.html
looks like it just prevents a complete overwrite of the file - backup to the exact same file without append is my guess.

For multiple operators, I usually send to a general box somewhere and then let the email system either forward to multiple people or one.
