Where can I find all the ready-to-use Microsoft T-SQLs?

  • Hi all,

I am new in using the Microsoft T-SQL in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express. I just saw some existing Microsoft T-SQLs like AVE(Transact-SQL), etc. in a tutorial book. I wonder where I can see all the ready-to-use Microsoft T-SQLs. Please help and advise on this matter.

    Thanks in advance,

    Scott Chang

  • They would be in "Books Online" which is the T-SQL help that comes free with SQL Server... learn to love it...

Lookup "Functions" after you find "Books Online"... I'm not sure how to get to it in 2k5... but I'm sure it's under a "Help" menu somewhere...

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
