Whew! I'm glad I finally stopped moving.

So are you implying that you're dead? 😉

  • kevlray, I bet I'm the only one on the thread to know where Oakhurst and Coarsegold Ca. are. My relatives have lived up there for 35+ years. I bet we know some of the same people =)

Days are sunny but short. Temperature about 14C (57F) at 7am and the same late evening, rising to between 20C(68F) and 25F(77F) during the day. Occassional light showers (1 per week or thereabouts). (Now is the coldest time of year, and this is the kind of weather that causes most sunburn - the tourists don't realise how much radiation there is, unlike at other times of year).

From what I understand, the actual movie was filmed in California the Rocky Mountains. Which doesn't stop a booming tourism industry in Austria.

But yes, I've see that area of the country. Absolutely beautiful. There was very little country in Austria that I didn't find beautiful. But I'm partial to Thalgau and the city of Salzberg, personally. Vienna was nice, but I only got to see it for a day or two. I have a desperate need to go back for a nice vacation, but I have to brush up on my German.
