When to think about Disaster Recovery?

    I agree but I would add that doesn't matter if the affected systems are supporting an online business or not; if you have any kind of information system in place you have to have a business approved DR strategy.

    Yes true, and also a tested DR strategy. You should also have a schedule approved by your management to test your DR strategy and you should always be ready to expect the unexpected as I mentioned in another thread that's what it makes a DBA so special for an organization.
