when specific port number is assigned for SQL SERVER,How to force the User should connect the server using the specific port number.

    Hi all,

    I changed the Default port number of SQL SERVER to some specific port number now i am able to connect the server using ,,Also only the is also possible to connect the SERVER,I need not to connect the server like using only SERVERNAME,How to force the user to specify the PORTNUMBER also to connect the server??????

    I've seen the JDBC drivers to specify the port on which the sql server service is running and is mandatory in the connectionstring. Not in management studio or odbc applications...
