I found an article on MSDN regarding how to manually uninstall a SQL Server Failover Cluster (msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms180973)The article didn't mention anything regarding any affects on the SQL1 Node. So, I don't want to proceed until someone say's Yea or Nay, that it will or won't affect it.
Thanks for your help.

I would remove that node from cluster before i uninstall, I am not sure if that is allowed in SQL 2005, it is allowed in SQL 2008.

So now that I think about it all I have to do is go to cluster administrator and take SQL2 off line, correct?

Better remove that node from MSCS and then proceed with any uninstallation/maintenance.
In 2000
Evict Node from Microsoft Cluster Service (MSCS). To evict a node
from MSCS, from Active Node, right-click on the node to remove, and then click Evict Node.
HTH!
