When do you put the Database in Emergency Mode

    Hi,

    I have a small Question, Generally When do u put the Database in the Emergency mode?, I have not come across any such situation.

    Under normal circumstances NEVER. I've had to perform this a few time in the past but it was only at the direction of MS PSS.

    Sometimes when a db is marked as suspect, and all other attempts to get it back fail, the last resort is to bring it up in emergency and select out the data to some other place.
