I installed SQL 2008 R2 locally on my laptop. Everything works fine (e.g. SSIS,SSAS,SSRS,SSMS,etc). But whenever I close SSMS I get the following message. Has anyone dealt with this before?
Thanks ahead of time.
The automatically saved settings file "file_name\SQL Server management Studio\Settings\CurrentSettings-2014-06-04" is not available for write. You can change this file on the 'Import and Export settings' Tools Options page.

I had the same issue once. Not sure if I resolved it back then 🙂
Take a look at this thread:
