I will soon have to start writing SSRS reports on a SQL Server 2016 Report Manager. The majority of the SSRS reports that run here were written back when SQL 2010 was new. I don't want to try and find an instance of Visual Studio 2010, just so I can write SSRS 2010 reports.
So, what versions of Visual Studio may I use to author reports for a SQL 2016 instance?

You can use VS2019 with the latest SSRS add on to author reports for SQL2016 no problems.
VS 2015 is the minimum for 2016 if I remember correctly.
You then need the right version of SSDT for VS 2015.
But given you can use VS2019 community and the latest SSRS addon, there shouldn't be any reason to use an older version of VS now
