What to do when error "For more information about this error navigate to the report server "

    I'm getting an error for a report that I created in BIDS. Everything works fine in SQL and in BIDS, but not in SSRS 2005 report manager. I'm setup as an admin on the report server, so I have super-duper powers.

    Unfortunately, I'm receiving the following error:

    An error has occurred during report processing.

    Query execution failed for data set 'DataSet1'.

    For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors

    What does the last sentence mean? What should be looked at after navigating to the report server?

    have you tried to run the report while RDP'd on the Report Server? there is a setting in SSRS to forward the error to the host but i forgot where it is. accessing the report via BIDS or IE on the server will report the real error
