Somewhere, somehow I've missed something.
(Actually, that is not a rare event in my life)
I keep reading comments by people who feel they have been robbed of a point or two in the QotD.
So what can we do with these points we are collecting?
Has anyone ever been asked how many SSC points they have in interview?
regards Ian

The points are just for boasting rights, they just get you different forum titles.

You can always take them down the company store and exchange them for valuable merchandise.
Where was the company store located again?

Cambridge? Or Denver?

With all your points I figured you'd just buy the store and move it down to SA to force us to visit you.

Judging from some people's anger level at question semantics, the points are worth more than a gallon of gas. :hehe:

I'm saving mine up so I can get either the secret decoder ring, or the "run faster" button for my code. I'm not sure which yet.

You can use them on most major airlines for free upgrades to DBA class.
Just ask at the ticket counter when you check in.

It is a matter of pride, of self assurance,y when a person knows the correct answer and then is told that his/her knowledge is faulty, when in reality it is not.
After all ,I use my points when bidding on E-Bay or have to use Pay-Pal

The prospect of a long-haul flight in a cabin full of DBAs is probably best avoided. Imagine if a Star Trek film came on.......

I actually put a related post to Steves editorial today.........
Why do we have that sort of rep? Sure Trans-warp is possible while faster then light would use an un-achievable amount of power. Lighsabers are not possible without a reflective integrity field and MHD rules!
But where do we get a geek rep?

The geek rep is avaliable at Grant's Company Store.
I checked already.
In fact it was the only thing I had enough points for.

I thought it came with the jobe title.
Does Grant's offer a free scarf and thermos? And maybe some Red Dwaf'esc Dwain Dibbly teeth?
