Hello,
I'm very new to SCOM. I would like to know how SCOM can be used to Monitor SQL Server. What kind of details\Reports we can extract from SCOM.
Thanks in Advance for your reply

In short, it can do almost anything you want. There are lots of videos and webcasts on their website so go check them out. It's really good stuff.

A good starting point is reading through this link:
Microsoft SQL Server Management Pack:

Out of the box SCOM monitors a limited subset of things, such as service and database availability and blocking. But SCOM is infinitely customizable, and therein lies its power.
