    would not be my approach but Boss says.....

    Anyhow we have a couple funtions in an access.mdb that move pdf files then update sql tables.

    the access.mdb has a DoCmd.Quit in the form load after calling the required function.

    we want this to run nightly in an sql job so he to me to make an SP that executes the access.mdb and run that sp as

    another step in one of our nightly SQL Jobs.

    He says he has run Access.mdb from a t-sql sp. I just don't know the syntax.

    I know that tables inside an ACCESS database can be accessed using linked servers. At a previous employer we attempted to execute inside an ACCESS database but failed as the ACCESS database wanted a desktop to interact with, and we didn't have that. That was Access 2000, so things may have changed since then.
