I wonder if PASS would consider using the service:MP3 To Text Transcription
http://www.transcriptionstar.com/mp3-transcription/mp3-to-text.html
for the 24 hours of PASS recordings.
Do you have any actual experience with the service?
My real world benchmark will be when Steve Gibson of Security Now https://www.grc.com/securitynow.htm decides to go with automated transcription.
tineye doesn't do well with faces, but I did find a someone with nice open source project working on it: https://twitter.com/brandondamos
There are some website, like KeepVid, that will take the URL for a video and transform it into a downloadable MP3 file. I use this to listen to stuff, like PASS recordings, while during to and from work in the car. You can take it one step further and convert MP3 to text, but personally I'd much rather listen to transcripts than read them.

I typically want to have a transcript in order to share the content I've enjoyed. It also makes it easier to find again.

...next step is to write nothing, just state what you want and the machine produces it...
I have worked in a team where the developer written SQL code was treated as a specification and a DBA refined it if necessary. Here we are just doing the same except replacing the DBA step with an automated AI one.
