What is Storage Area Network (SAN)

    Hi,

    Could any one advice me for providing more information about SAN.

    What type of questions will they ask about SAN while at interview? to the Dba perspective.

    Why should I use SAN and Where it should apply.

    - What is a SAN?

    - What is RAID?

    - Which RAID type is best for data, which for log?

    - What is the advantage of a SAN?

    - What is a NAS? is it different compared to a SAN?

    (Answers can be found by mr Google 🙂 )

    To be perfectly honest, they could ask you absolutely anything about a SAN in an interview.

    And that should give you a pretty basic understanding of a SAN.
