What is "SQL Fertilization" any links?
its job description. I have googled it and i noticed that many jobs are asking: "Some experience with SQL fertilization helpful" I m trying to find what exactly is the term, what does that mean?

I honestly have no idea. Where have you seen this term?

Google "SQL Fertilization" with the quotes and most of the links appear to relate to a single job advert, something to do with Broadridge. Best guess? A dopey recruiter has the wrong end of the stick and doesn't know about virtualisation π

that makes much more sense than what i was thinking, where someone came up with a new buzz word for data scientists and architects.

That's weird. It has to be a typo or a misinterpretation. They could mean normalization or optimization or... I've never heard of SQL Fertilization, so I've got nothing. Of course, the more we type SQL Fertilization, the more it'll show up in search results and SQL Fertilization will likely become a must-have skill that no one has. SQL Fertilization.

I've seen plenty of BS in databases, but I've never seen anyone advertise for it in a job description...

So, perhaps somone is looking for a sperm donor. If musicians, atheletes, and high IQ university students are in demand, then why not a DBA?

Now that's along the same lines I was thinking when I saw the term.

We've all met a few overzealous DNA donors in this trade.

I believe you asked the question on #SQLHELP...Brent replied, you might be referring to "SQL INjection" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SQL_injection.
If you reallly meant "SQL Fertilization", i would be curious to know what you find π .

Or maybe "replication".

Maybe they are taking the concept of "cross domain fertilization" where two "domains" (not literally AD domains but any group of systems) are brought together and like structures are encountered in both "domains" and applying it to SQL where databases need to be combined and like schemas accounted for.
That's my best educated guess. Of course it could just be a typo as everyone has suggested. It's all just words on a screen.

That's so funny. I can see auto correct burning me like that. Auto correct messes me up like once a month somehow. Most recently I typed "assk", auto correct fixed but did not interpret it as "ask" π
