    I seem to remember that SQL 2008 doesn't ship with scptxfr.exe anymore, which leads to the assumption that there are no new methods for sql 2008... I could be wrong tho.

    You might want to try using SSMS (tasks) to generate scripts of your database, or the relevant SMO object.
