If SQL server 2000 (enterprize edition) SP4 not applied on windows server 2003 enterprize edition then what problems occur?
Error like 'General network error' or module not active can occur?

Your SQL Server support from MS expired in July of 2007 !!!
If you upgrade to SQL 2000 SP4 you can get support from MS until 2013 .
