What if Merge DB comes corrupt

  • In my current setup I update a subscriber every minute, so I can use this as my backup db.

(this are transactional replications, with several databases)

What will happen if the published database becomes corrupt.

Does the database at the subscriber also become corrupt ?

I cannot find an answer anywhere.

  • Not necessarily. Pretty rare if it is also corrupt. Could occur if you initialized subscr w/ a corrupted backup...

    Good Luck.

  • It all depends what are you calling "corrupt" usually when corruption affects the primary replication agents break and you effectively can't transfer "corruption" ...
