what if DAC is not enabled?

  • If i have an issue accessing my database server, and the DAC is disabled, what are the options available?

  • I don't think you can disable local DAC can you? If you're talking about remote DAC, then the work-around would be to RDP locally, establish connection to DAC locally, then enable remote DAC.

If you've somehow disabled local Dedicated Administrator Access, I have no idea...

  • im on my local machine with my local instance, and i got the error: Cannot connect to Admin:.

I only get it when DAC is disabled. i think i need to investigate further.

    Thanks,

  • Make sure you're meeting the conditions here in the first instance:
