I love "Todays Question" and have picked up quite a few tidbits that have been very useful. Often even more useful is the answer the following day.
Where did it go?

Maybe it's removed to prevent "cheating". If you have read the answer it has no point in answering the question 😎
If you want the explanation, just try to answer the QotD. It will show if you are correct (or not) and enable you to see the explanation and join the discussion afterwards.

We had some designers look at this, and in looking at the size of the newsletter and participation from people, we decided to remove it. Not sure I like it gone, but for now we're "testing the waters" to see what people think and if it affects anything.
Please feel free to send your comments/complaints to the webmaster (at sqlservercentral) and we'll log them.

Opinions were requested in this thread and there were over 100 replies. The headlines now precede your editorial Steve, and "yesterday's answer" has disappeared (because it made the email too big?!) but the vast majority asked for the width to be increased to reduce scrolling and a few made the excellent suggestion that questions should be ordered latest version first.
Perhaps we can have some feedback from the webmaster for the benefit of those who took the time to answer?

Yep, I'll get a reply in there from the group.
those are general responses, not necessarily those that make sense for the yesterday's answer.
I'll also note that many of those replies are immediate complaints to change. We did read many of them and considered the opinions. We moved the TOC back to the top, which I agree with.
I'll get some thoughts and responses back to you.

I too liked seeing the prior day's question's answer in the newsletter. I don't always have access to the web to look it up and often do not have the time to do it. I would much rather have the answer the following day provided in the newsletter. If "cheating" is an issue on the website, only score the points if the answer is provided prior to the next newsletter's release.

It would be very cool if the QOD in the newsletter could also show the answer alternatives...

I'm debating this and I think we'll add the "yesterday's" item back. I don't see compelling reasons not to.
In terms of the answers, are you saying that for the current question you want the possible answers? Or for the yesterdays/answer page to show all the options?

Just show the options for today's question if poss.

That is problematic. Some of the questions are so long that formatting is an issue. It's why we limit what we show of the question at times.
We could potentially allow you to select a single answer item from the NL, but I dislike that as it doesn't allow us to correct issues in the question or answers.
I appreciate what you're looking for, but I'm not convinced it's a good idea.
