Im looking into integration services in books online, and it mentions a slowly changin dimension wizard and other things related to dimensions. in relational database terms, what is a dimension?

basically a dimension is an entity that can influence your business. E.g. customers, suppliers, time, geography. It can be a whole heap of things.
