What causes the screan to flicker

    I have a little program written in access 2000 that worked fine under windows 2000 but when running in xp at one point when a bunch of code is run the whole screen on the computer that runs the screen flickers anoyingly. It quits fickering when done.

    Access is a single threaded application envrionment and can cause flickering quite often when a lot of updates occurr on the screen as it draws each change. This is most likely what you are seeing. The reason it didn't flicker on the 2000 machine could be amount of other processes trying to get CPU time or hardware or a number of other things.
