  HI All,

  I am trying to use a SQL function which returns XML as a datasource for an SSRS report 2008R2.

  I am not sure how this is posible.

  1. I have created SQL datasource since i need to execute the SQL function which returns XML

  2. Next i have created a dataset with the above datasource, but the problem is here. I need the XML nodes to be recognised ad fields which is not happening.

  Any suggestions or best practises please.

  Simplest way would be to use the For XML clause in your query. Persist the query to the file system. Now you can connect to this using Report Builder.
