HI All
I hope someone can shed some light on this situation for me please
I thankyou in advance.
my situation is this:
i have three w2k3 servers running sql2k sp3a all participating in replication, report services and analysis services. Only one of these servers is w2k3 sp1.
i would like to apply sql sp4 and w2k3 sp1 to these servers and would like to know which would be the best way taking inregard the MS recommendations.
a/ apply sp1 for w2k3 and then sql sp4
or
b/ aplly sql sp4 then w2k3 sp1
or
c/ it doesnt matter.
any suggestions would be helpful at this stage, or if anyone has experience and is willing to share thier outcomes this would be helpful.
thanks for your time and comments

I'd opt for W2K3 SP1 first (since you have to do both) ... logically speaking the Windows OS came before SQL Server in installation order on the server did it not ? If you did not have to do both at the same time I'd say it does not matter unless there is a specific fix in SP1 for SP4.

Hi Rudy,
thanks for your responce, i had kindof figured that, but just wanted some conformation that my thinking was on the right track.
ill investigate SP1 and see if there is any mention about SQL server in the bug fix list and pass the SP1 implementation over to server specialists.. then proceed with my SP4 migration.
thanks once again for your time and imput.
