VSS Migration

    Hello All,

    I have a VSS migration Issue.

    I have VSS installed on server and around 15 developers are using it. When we initially started, we did

    not have proper structure in place so for some of the application we have diffrent versions under different folders.

    I want to remove all existing folder structure and create a new one where i would arrange items more

    systematically. I want to do this without loosing history of the original item.

    Can it be done? If it can, then how?

    You can select a project on the left and on the File menu, you can choose move.

    If you decide to completely rebuild the VSS by building a new one, then you can use the Administrator tool to Import/Export the project trees. Then using above, you can move them around.

     

    Note, that if you have sourcecode in projects referencing these, you will have to edit each of those as well to point to the new locations.
