I am trying to find out which SQL Server versions are supported in VS 2019 /SSDT for Reporting Services. We have SQL Server 2008 R2. My Infrastructure team is building a new computer with Windows 10 and it will have VS2019 on it. Our Report Server is SQL Server 2008 R2 and I want to make sure it will be compatible. I have only been able to determine that the default TargetServerVersion is 2016. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.
I realize that SQL Server 2008R2 is out of support and I have suggested that we upgrade those databases, but I am not confident that that will happen.

In VS 2019 / SSDT, there are three options in the drop down list for TargetServerVersion:
Another thing to note is there is no longer a standalone SSDT installer, now the functionality is installed as Extensions.
