Every time I open an article it says "Thanks for voting" even though I haven't voted. Is there something up with the code or my browser?

It's a strange session issue that we've seen with some people. Can't reproduce it here, but it seems to be an issue between the ASP and ASP.NET sessions.

OK. It only bothers me when I read a stinky article that I want to slam No big deal. I was just curious really.

I get that too. Mostly seen when this system has a link to an outside article. I just thought that the editor had voted for the article somehow when the link was made and we are seeing that.

I'm getting that too. I kept wondering where it was that people were voting . . . even posted a question on it and was told the link for voting was on the bottom of the page . . .
Nice to know I'm not alone.

This has happened to me sometimes, too.
But today I tried to vote for Stephen's Excellent SSIS article and it did not record my vote. So I voted a 2nd time, and a 3rd time, and still the count did not change, and never got the "thank you for voting" message either.

Thank you for voting

Oh, I thought that "thanks for voting!" was sort of a "thanks in advance" kind of thing. I guess that's why I can't vote either . I always want to vote for articles, but have always seen that message, in both IE and FireFox. Oh well.
