All,
I've got SQL server 2000 installed on an esxi 3.5i host and for some strange reason at 9:57am each morning the tools are disabled and the network stops functioning. I have to restart the server to regain functionality.
The server was migrated, using VMWare converter, from a standard server and the previous server didn't have this issue.
I've looked for database and OS level tasks executing at this time and there are none. The databases run transaction logs at 10am (every 2 hours) but the crash is always three minutes before that.
There is nothing in the sql or Windows event logs which is unusual.
I know it's a strange issue but I wondered if anyone had seen it before?

Have you checked the VMWare host rather than the client logs?

Thanks for your reply.
If your referring to the 'events' tab then I have just checked it and it doesn't show anything for that time or the few hours before other than the normal 'user logged in'/'user logged out' type of messagwe.
Thanks
Andrew
