Hi guys,
I'm evaluating to install this to work on our SQL 2000 environment. We have serveral servers with many different DB on them. We are using VSS 2005 for the code (VB6 sux).
Did someone use it on a similar scenario?
I need to keep track for the SQL changes as I do in the presentation layer.
I want to know if someone have a story about it, or not 😉
Cheers,
Gonzalo

We're using DB Pro for all our new development and quite a few of our older systems. This is in SQL Server 2005 and 2000. We use the tool to deploy, both automatically and manually, to sandbox servers, continuous integration, development, qa, performance test, staging, training and production. Because of integration with TFS, we're able to deploy from the tip, from labels and from branches. It makes database code pretty much the same as VB code. The one area that is a little weak and requires some extra work and planning is incremental builds. We're still finalizing standards around that part of the process.
There are a number of articles here on SSC documenting various bits & pieces of using the tool. Here's one.
