I have a copy of Visual Basic.Net 2003 Standard and was wanting to write a couple interfaces to report on and/or edit a table in a MS SQL 2000 server database. When trying to setup the connection, I get the message that "...this version of VB can only be used to connection to databases using the MSDE...". So what edition of VB is required for this?

I think that you are trying to connect through the server explorer, in this case VB.net 2003 standard won't work u need to have enterprise / professional edtion but you still can connect to the database through code off course
Hold on hold on soldier
When you add it all up
The tears and marrowbone
There's an ounce of gold
And an ounce of pride in each ledger
And the Germans killed the Jews
And the Jews killed the Arabs
And Arabs killed the hostages
And that is the news
And is it any wonder
That the monkey's confused
