hi all,
I am using Visio 2003 Enterprise Edition to update my database through the "Update Database Wizard" meant for this purpose. However this is far from perfect and usually creates temporary tables with suffixes like _IM0,_IM1 etc which it does not delete.Right now my database does not contain data but i dread the day when it will be populated with data.
If anyone has any insights on how to update the database through Visio please reply asap.
My sincere gratitude will be towards anyone who provide any leads on this issue.
With regards,
SPK

I played around with Visio 2002 for enterprise architects. After some testing, I would never trust Visio to update my database. What I've gotten used to doing is creating my new tables in the database itself and reverse engineering... so the changes only go from the database to the data model. I wish you the best of luck, but I'm not convinced Visio is a good tool for what you're trying to do.
