I have SQL server 2005. The database has 170 tables. Someone needs to see the keys and fields in each table and how they are related to each other (like a database diagram). I created a diagram but can not figure out how to export it or how to use it in another application so I can email it to someone.
Does anyone know of any free downloads that allow you to do this?
Any other way to export the table schema?

You can get Visio to diagram a database pretty easily and use that to print, export, etc., files.
RedGate also has a product that can do a pretty good job of creating that kind of documentation. So does ApexSQL.

I'm not sure I will be able to download a third party tool. Is there anyway to do this using SQL server management tools? Or something within SQL server?

You can create a database diagram in Management Studio. If you want to e-mail it to someone, print it as a PDF, attach it to the e-mail, and away you go. Will that do?
If you can't print to PDF currently, CutePDF is free and allows you to print to PDF from just about any Windows application.

The server does not have a printer installed so I dont even have that option. 🙁 The server is also cut off from the internet so I can't even download cutePDF.
Any other options. I know I dont have a lot to work with but any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
