version control of DTS packages

    I am trying to save our packages somewhere besides on the SQL server.

    I have the following options but I am unaware how to restore them as a package once I save them as:

    metadata services

    structured storage file

    visual basic file

    I save as 'structured storage file' and add to VSS to version control. To open a structured storage file, right click on the Data Transformation Services node in EM, select Open Package then navigate to open.
