We have scheduled a windows task using the below script to copy the SQl backups from disk to network drive. The task is running fine without any issues. The problem we are facing is that task shows successful even when the script failes to complete the job.
c:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\bin\bpbackup.exe" -p Policy_xyz -s dblogs -L D:\NetBackup\Logsbbackuplogd.txt -w 12:00:00 %target%
The help I needed is, to add/modify the command lines to return error status (or to log error event into event view) if copy to tape task fails.
Thanks in advance.

Within veritas are you performing a verification?
I am not familiar with the product but I would guess that would fail and report any errors?
In the past (as we dont use tape any more) I have used mirrored backups (enterprise only i think).
Currently I used a 3rd party backup tool (idera - others are out there) that allows you to also mirror you backups for redundancy.

No, not verifying on the Veritas.
The scheduled task(script file .bat) is placed on Netbackup client server which does the copy job.
In the same batch file, can we add any command to find if it is successful or not?
