  Hello,

  During the SQL Server 2012 Express Management Studio install, I encountered this error. I am on Windows 7:

  TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Setup

  ------------------------------

  The following error has occurred:

  Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC90.ATL,version="9.0.30729.4974",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86",type="win32"'. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x800736FD.

  Can you offer any suggestion on how to fix this, so the setup program continues? I download the setup program from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29062

  Any idea on how to resolve this error? I have tried this fix from this site, but it did not work, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;946414#letmefixit
