Below is an ad we are running locally in Virginia.
The position reports to me, and is not really a "DBA" position but for a programmer who is very strong in using SQL including how to best design databases for complex systems (less tuning issues than good modeling to produce a consistent and stable design).
I am not interested in contract work or work-remote, only people in or willing to relocate to Charlottesville, Va. I might consider someone in Chicago where our headquarters is (and I have a support staff but no developers, they are all in Virginia).
I've changed the e-mail address from the ad (which usually goes through H/R) to come directly to me.
You can find a bit of info about us at http://www.chaslevy.com and our sister division at http://www.levybooks.com. Note that we are not an e-commerce company, we use systems internally to manage warehousing and distribution, but our internet presence is a token. So do not come here if you're looking for the latest dot-com.
