We have a database we are going to be migrating to a new site using log shipping. Chief counsel wants to know what we are going to do to guarantee the database is an exact replica (no data missing or altered) after the cutover. Simply explaining log shipping and how it works is not sufficient. He wants proper validation of the data. This is a 2 TB database with thousands of tables. I'm at a bit of a loss.
Anyone else had to do something like this? If so, what was the strategy?
Or any suggestions on what we can do to satisfy him that the log shipping process will result in an exact replica?
Thanks.
