using xp_cmdshell to run msg.exe

  I am trying to exec xp_cmdshell to run msg.exe user1 /SERVER:Computer1  Test Msg (have also tried a batch file) . When I run this I get User1 does not exist or is disconnected. I assume this is because xp_cmdshell is running as a user that does not have the correct permissions as I can run this fine from a command prompt. I have tried to use EXEC xp_sqlagent_proxy_account but still no luck. Any thoughts on how I can get this to work?

  But issue is with service account's permissions  and it's better to consult with OS sysadmins
