🙂
Is there any way I could have screwed up Profiler?
I'm a Profiler noob and when I went to connect on my primary server (Tools/ SQL Server Profiler/New Trace), I get the error "Cannot connect to XxxxYYyy--Unknown Error (pfutil90)".
I can connect easily on a similar server, and I'm sure that the default trace is running on my primary server. But whether I ask to connect using Windows authentication or SQL Server, I don't see anything but this unhelpful error message.

What version of SQL Server are you connecting to?
Are you sure that you have either sysadmin permission (SQL 2000 and higher) or ALTER TRACE permission (2005/2008) on the server that is failing?
