Using Indicators in a Matrix to show a trend

  • Hi,

Is it possible to use change the state of an indicator based on the current value and previous value in a matrix?

I have a matrix which groups data by category (as rows) and by month (as columns). I've added an indicator to colour code the data value (red/amber/green) however i'd like to extend it so that the shape of the indicator reflects whether there has been an increase or decrease since the previous month.

    eg:

Category1 JAN 70% GREEN | FEB 45% RED DOWN ARROW | MAR 85% GREEN UP ARROW

I'm stumped so any assistance would be great.

    Thanks

  • Not sure about resizing of indicator based on the value but did you consider using "Quarters", "Blocks" indicators available under Ratings section of 2008 R2 Indicators?

  • Adventure Works 2008 R2 > Employee_Sales_Summary_2008R2_EndLesson3 is a good start.

    (Technically - graphics design sucks.)
