Using IN in a Where statement with and option of all

For me, I am not using the Split Function.

Why..? Have you completed the trace like I asked? What was the result?

You've asked for help here, but it seems you've ignored it all... I'm not going to repeat myself, the solution is in the topic.

    Thom~

Excuse my typos and sometimes awful grammar. My fingers work faster than my brain does.

I get an invalid object when I use the Spit Function in the report.
I don't want to add a new function to a database that isn't mine and one for which I'm not the admin.
Though I do have some skill in TSQL and SSRS I am still not all that verse and not fully sure how to implement this function.

So I came here. Thank you but I have not ignored your solution.

  • Are you saying that there is a database for which you are the admin? Then you can put DelimitedSplit8K there and reference it using the 4-part naming syntax.  Lots of people here have used Jeff's splitter.  I guess if you're using 2016, you don't need it, but otherwise you're kind of stuck.  If you read this article, he shows you how to use it.

but if you like doing things the hard way, go to town.
