Using email in DTS package on 2005

  Hey all,

  Have a bit of an problem here. Have a 2005 instance that is using a DTS package to email a couple files. When I run the package via the gui, it works just fine and sends the email. When I run via Agent under the sa account (which the service account is a local admin), the DTS blows up saying: "Logon failed: MAPI Logon failed." I've even tried scheduling the job as my account as well as a domain admin, same thing.

  I can use database mail just fine, but obviously DTS wasn't built to use database mail. The mail step reads in the profile appropriately as well.

  Not sure what I'm missing here, thoughts?

  Just redid it as a sp_send_dbmail step with @file_attachments.

  Still curious to as why this doesn't work though.
