My company is implementing Asigra as a backup solution for our server.
Does anyone have any experience of using Asigra to generate SQL backups via VSS? How well does it work? Or am I likely to be better off backing up to disk and letting Asigra collect those files?

I have been testing some backup and restore scenarios using Asigra for SQL Server 2008 R2 and see a big set back. The tail log cannot be recovered using Asigra and at the same time, tail log recovered using SQL Server Management studio cannot be applied to the restored backup set of Asigra. It throws following error

I checked several times and i did not miss applying any transaction log. My finding is that you will loose some data if you use Asigra for your backup and restore.
