Is is possible to use a Matrix, you created in the report, to generate a graph? It would be a lot easier than using a pivot command and then trying to figure out what rows are needed... since the matrix does that for you from the data.

You don't need to use a pivot command, the chart tabulates the data for you with the Category and Series Groups and value summary. You can also filter on these etc.

I haven't been able to figure out how to get the data..
ColA ColB Date1 Date2 Min
to show up in a graph where you get each result of ColA +ColB showing up as a line accross... in Min... and the X axis is dates between the selected date range.
Now doing this in a Matrix is easy.. you put ColA, ColB in the Rows section and Date2 (converted without the time) in Columns.. Then place the Min in the textbox under the Date2 column.

The chart object takes your rows of data and displays them - the values are the columns that contain data - each one will be a sperate line\column etc. The series allows different rows to be seperated out into different graphs\columns and the category field contains the axis values you're plotting against.
So you need to throw multiple rows of data at the chart widget, and if you've set up the data correctly, it'll all be sorted out. Try a few simple examples using a union query in the data section to supply data.
By the sound of your query, you need a list of rows with A, B (or A+B) and date - these would then be values, plus category. If time axis is selected, then they'll display left to right if sorted.
