Using 64 bit SQL Server 2005 SE on windows 2008 ? Lock Pages in memory ?

  • Problems:

    64-bit editions of SQL Server 2005, SQL Server working set was got paged out of memory to disk on window 2003 server. we can set "lock pages in memory" to fix it, but it only works for enterprise edition not standard edition, so, my question is window 2008 server fix the problem ? Is it OK to run 64 bit SQL Server SE on windows 2008 server ? Thx.

  • Which service pack are you on with SQL Server 2005. and windows 2003

    There is a OS terminal services Bug, that can cause this issue, have you checked that http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;905865.

    There can be other applications/drivers that can cause this to happen.
