User Permissions

    Hi Experts,

    How can i find the users having select permissions in particular databases?

    From memory, I think the sp_helprotect stored procedure and sysprotects system view are what you need. Also check membership of the db_datareader database role.

    Thanks John..

    I tried but was not able to fetch what i required.There are roles which have select permission and the users might have added to those roles other than giving db_datareader.

    In that case you need to script out ur roles and check for object level access.

    hi

    you can export your users from the server and import into the same where u using the test server then you have come to know abt the users permissions to databases which u using in the main server ...
