It would be great if we could set up user defined polls. For example I'm looking for feedback on SQL Server Log utilities. While the comments will be helpful I'd really like to set up a poll with the top 4-5 contenders and see how many people use which one (or none). I bet I'd get more responses to a poll where people just have to click a radio button than I will to the thread that requires people to actually write...
If not user defined polls then system admin defined polls at the request of users?

I guess this question is really for the site owners. Does the forum software you're using have a "poll" capability built in? (I'm guessing "Yes" unless the QOD is run separately from the forums.)
Could the QOD be used for polls? Perhaps you could set up a Request for Poll forum and pick the ones that sound like they'd have a reasonable appeal to post as a poll using the QOD function?
